New Year Rituals & Spellwork
At the beginning of a Calendrical New Year, we are often pushed and pulled in various directions. Set New Year’s Intentions, Don’t set New Year’s Intentions because it’s not actually the Astrological New Year, etc. The seemingly constant input of what we should and should not do from the World is loud, noisy & probably isn’t serving you entirely. The reality is that because many people across The World put collective beliefs & energy into the Calendrical New Year, it still holds potent energy that we should probably work with in some way. That’s where I come in! Enter: Spiritualists, Witches, Pagans, rule breakers & those who choose not to follow one specific path in life. Ways to work with the New Years energy in ritual and spellwork listed below. Enjoy!
Rituals to partake in during the New Years energy portal (this portal is live into February as well - you’re not too late).
Energetic & Physical Clearings Take this pause in liminal space & time (no hussle/bussle happening over here during the Wintering Months) to re-acquaint yourself with the spaces of your home. Taking stock of areas where clutter gathers, pieces of clothing or items that no longer spark joy for you and begin to clean up and clear out those old items and energies. Whether you remake them into something new, gift or donate, the intentional act of releasing will help you to welcome in the new. Clearing your home of physical items helps with energetic clearings, but to further ensure your homespace is an energetic match for the space you’re in now & what you are welcoming in this upcoming year, I encourage you to: utilize smoke medicine by smudging your homespace, recharging and setting up your crystal grids, create a special cleanser (you can also put herbs/crystals/energy work or intentions into your cleaning water) and wipe down your doorways and high-traffic touch points within your home. Smoke Medicine tips: always burn in a fire-safe bowl, use herbs in correspondence to the season you’re in (Winter: Cedar/Juniper) or that hold special energies/magical meanings for you. I could give you a specific list of what exactly to use in each of these circumstances. BUT to do so robs you of something so incredibly valuable: the ability to tap in with your heart & soul and act accordingly in your life. Your rituals, intentions & magickal spells will have so much more power if YOU are the secret force behind the craft.
Enjoy an intentionally crafted meal I know that people tend to hold certain cultural beliefs when it comes to the first meal into the New Year. The act of intentionally preparing a meal with love, prosperity, etc.is not something we should only do a few times a year on select days. I encourage you to continue to prepare your life-nourishing food with intention. You may also lean into herbal medicine and magic here! Rosemary can symbolize cleanliness and carry sun-codes, Black Pepper can be used to aid in having clear sight beyond the darkness & lemon can be used to bring in light, healing, prosperity and to assist you in letting your light shine. The possibilities are endless here. You may utilize a specific set of correspondences in regard to a herb, simply follow your intuition or even create your own associations.
Spellwork for the New Year
1.) Gather your supplies: items such as crystals, herbs, candles/incense or smudging tools, something to symbolize Golden Key Codes from The Sun, and anything else you may feel called to.
2.) Cleanse your items with smoke medicine.
3.) Begin to assemble your crystals, herbs and any additional items intuitively.
4.) If you haven’t already, call in your Higher Self, Spirit Team any Ascended Masters or Deities you wish to work with to assist in your spell.
5.) Gather your item symbolizing The Sun and its energy in your hands and begin to set your personal intentions for the New Year. You may call in: prosperity and abundance, clarity on your path, wisdom and wellness for your household. Get creative and have fun with it. Remember, this is your spell and you can do what you want!
6.) Carefully lay your Sun-Item intuitively within or around your gridwork (crystals/herbs) and allow for the spell to remain open for 24 hours. Each time you pass the grid, send well wishes, love, healing energies its way & imagine the Sun filling your grid and your life with all that you desire, the Golden Sun Key Codes & more. Remember the saying: this or something better when manifesting. Now all you have to do is sit back and let your spell work its magick throughout the year!

Holy Basil: prosperity and purification.
Calendula Flower: The Sun and its energy.
Snapdragon Flower: purity, grace and innocence. A nod to The Dragons and their role in my life.
Lime Juice: growth, abundance, money & good fortune.
Coconut Flakes: Ancestral connection, wealth & sweetness.
